PREPARING YOUR PROPOSAL
STEP 1: Pre-Register Your Team
STEP 2: Build your team, connect with farmers, and develop your proposal
Not sure where to begin? These three webinar replays offer practical guidance and perspectives from growers, engineers, and past Challenge participants:
Build Workshop — Learn how to approach growers, identify a meaningful agricultural challenge, and develop a clear problem statement for your project proposal.
Grower Challenges Webinar — Hear directly from growers about the challenges they face, what they look for in potential solutions, and how students can build productive relationships with agricultural partners.
Launching Careers, Building Businesses, Helping Growers Thrive with Bonsai Robotics — Explore how students, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals connect technology development with real grower needs.
STEP 3: Complete final registration and submit your project proposal
Teams can now register and submit their project proposals through the Farm Robotics Challenge awards platform. A completed proposal is required to participate and is due December 13, 2026.
The Registration and Project Proposal Guide walks teams through creating an account, entering their team roster, and preparing each required part of the proposal. Proposals will be reviewed for completeness only—they will not be scored or judged at this stage.
You can begin the registration form now, save your progress, and return to complete it later. We encourage teams to begin early so they have time to gather information from their agricultural partners and develop meaningful evaluation metrics.
